Makes me think of that kid's show from the 80's with the lizard characters called Slestaks or something. Maybe this is where they got started?

Oh, ole' Madam Pompador there looks a bit mannish to me. Perhaps they were a prototypical drag queen/king act? Those Edwardian types could be a bit saucy,no?
